Irreparable by Syed Zaman

A spherical sculpture—formed by
Shards of broken mirrors sewn
Together with mimetic memoirs—
Where dazzling reflections are
Concealed within the sphere
Itself—becomes invisible to the
Spectator—
Alluding to the fire that sheds
Light on the fragility of the
Permanence of—the
Impermanent—
Suffering suffused in the chain
Of the enduring presence of the
Wounds we bear from the past—
The sensation that a missing part
Remains connected to both
Intimate and material injuries—
A myriad of memories—
Harking back to the ghosts of
Their demands for repair—
Within a subtraction of sounds—
Unheard of—
Undefined.
Unrecognizable.
