In Prague there is a forty-five-ton
kinetic head of Kafka that rotates
around in segments allowing
the face to keep creating itself
to focus on different views
of the town square

as a fitting tribute to the man
who worked right there
known for turning a discontented
clerk into a bug while he slept

he is now stuck in this revolving
weight, still showing us
transformation has its limitations
when someone else decides where
we will be when the sun comes up
